Community Observations

Observations:

  • Talents don’t know where to find clients
  • Non-digital artisans are not represented online at all.
  • Many talents struggle with low income, inconsistent jobs, and no shop location visibility
  • Many talents depend on luck,“word of mouth”, or “connection.”
  • Digital platforms are overcrowded, making it hard for new talents to be noticed.

    1. What skills do you have?
    2. Do You get leads often?
    3. What means brings you sales?
    4. Provided there’s an online platform that could increase the leads you get, would you use it?
  • Key Responses:
    • Works as a Vulcanizer
    • He gets leads often, but would like to get more leads
    • He get sales from Passers-by and via words-of-mouth/referral
    • He would appreciate and love to use an online platform that increases visibility and more sales.

    1. Are you satisfied with the number of clients you get?
    2. Would you make use of an online platform that could bring you more potential clients?
  • Key Responses:

    • He is not satisfied with the number of clients he gets
    • He would embrace the use of an online platform as long as it increases visibility and brings in more clients.

Raw Data Summary

  • Some interviewed talents said they do not get work regularly.

  • Non-digital talents (artisans) said they have never used a platform to get clients.

  • Talents want a platform that brings them direct clients.

  • Some are familiar with Web3 and blockchain technologies, but they don’t interact with it

  • Most people said, “I wish there was a platform that connects people who need jobs with people who need work done.”

Problems Identified

From interviews, these repeated patterns emerged:

  • “No clients”
  • “No platform for us”
  • “People don’t trust new people”
  • “The existing apps are too crowded”
  • “I don’t have a shop, so people don’t know my work”
  • “Clients lie or underpay”
  • “Artisans have no online presence”
