Event Overview

Join us for the climax of the CATS Hackathon journey, a full day of innovation, knowledge exchange, and networking dedicated to building Africa’s regenerative future. This critical gathering is for anyone passionate about Web3, sustainable technology, and the transformation of the African economy. Witness firsthand how ideas move from community ground truth research to viable, regenerative solutions designed for lasting impact.

Important: No results announced today. This is a showcase and hacking day. Local winners will be announced on January 6, 2026, and Continental Top 5 winners on January 9, 2026.

The Regenerative Principle

The program’s core theme is the Regenerative Principle. This powerful philosophy moves beyond mere sustainability (doing no harm) to demand active restoration and positive contribution to both society and environment. In the African technology landscape, this means rejecting extractive business models in every sector—from agriculture to finance, health to infrastructure—and designing systems that instead:

  • Restore Social Capital: Building platforms that formalize and reward local trust and community wisdom
  • Regenerate Wealth: Ensuring that value created by African innovators is retained and reinvested within their local economies
  • Increase Systemic Resilience: Creating self-sustaining ecosystems that can withstand financial, environmental, and infrastructural shocks
