Phase 3: Idea Shaping & Validation
Date: November 22, 2024 (Friday)
Format: In-person session at Next Trend Hub
Duration: Full day (9 AM - 5 PM)
Purpose
This is your first in-person session where you’ll:
- Present your Ground Truth findings to mentors
- Receive feedback on research quality
- Validate problem areas with peers
- Prepare for team formation
Session Structure
Morning (9 AM - 12 PM)
Ground Truth Presentations
- 5-minute presentations by each participant
- Share key findings from 2 weeks of community research
- Present voice note evidence
- Highlight 2-3 most compelling problems discovered
Afternoon (1 PM - 3 PM)
Mentor Feedback Sessions
- Small group discussions with mentors
- Critique of research methodology
- Suggestions for deeper investigation
- Identification of strong problem areas
Late Afternoon (3 PM - 5 PM)
Peer Validation & Networking
- Gallery walk of all findings
- Identify overlapping problem interests
- Begin informal team discussions
- Prepare for Phase 4 team formation

Evaluation Criteria (Informal)
Mentors will assess:
- Voice notes quality - Do you have genuine recorded interviews?
- Depth of research - Did you talk to diverse community members?
- Problem clarity - Can you articulate specific problems?
- Evidence strength - Is your data compelling?

Next Steps After Nov 22
Phase 4 (Nov 23 onwards): Form teams of up to 5 members, combine your research, and begin developing your hypothesis together.
